Carolyn Taylor: A proposed framework to evaluate progress at the intersection of women, power, and cancer
Carolyn Taylor, Founder and Executive Director of Global Focus on Cancer (GFC), posted on LinkedIn:
“Proud to share our latest publication:
Building on the Lancet Commission on Women, Power, and Cancer, this framework is designed to help turn bold recommendations into measurable action. Developed through a collaborative, multi-disciplinary process, it outlines priority indicators that can guide implementation, align with global agendas, and strengthen accountability.
This work is urgently needed. Cancer is not gender-neutral—and without intentional focus, we risk reinforcing the same power imbalances that have long shaped who gets care, whose pain is believed, and whose lives are prioritized.
With women and gender equity under threat in many parts of the world, I’m proud to stand with colleagues across sectors to ensure that equity is not just a promise, but a measurable goal.”
