“The National Cancer Institute (NCI)’s Center for Cancer Research Office of Equity and Inclusion team had a fantastic time last week sharing in the rich networking and celebration that was the first US-based Black in Cancer Conference 2024!
The conference theme of ‘Lifting as We Climb’ emphasised the critical roles we all have in creating sustainable pathways for future black cancer pioneers.
Some highlights included:
- Stellar presentations from several of our investigators, including Sadhana Jackson and Kandice Tanner.
- Participation in the round table lunch with attendees to share more about CCR and our available opportunities for all career stages.
Overall, it was a fantastic, inspiring and invigorating conference!”
