Yvonne Awards 2025: Honoring Global Oncology Leaders at ASCO’s Most Inspiring Night

The Yvonne Awards 2025, presented by OncoDaily during the ASCO Annual Meeting in Chicago,  have become a much-awaited tradition in global oncology, honoring excellence, leadership, and advocacy. This inspiring event, known for its unique blend of celebration and purpose, took place once again on the Friday night of ASCO 2025 in Chicago, alongside the OncoDaily Party, forming what has now become a hallmark of the oncology calendar.

With the Chicago Riverwalk as its scenic backdrop, the 2025 ceremony brought together oncologists, researchers, advocates, and leaders worldwide. The Yvonne Awards – named in tribute to a legacy of courage and mentorship—have, over the years, established a meaningful platform to spotlight individuals who drive change and elevate the cancer care community. Building on the tradition, this year’s event continued to highlight voices that challenge the status quo, mentor across generations, and push the boundaries of science and humanity in oncology.

“The Yvonne Awards and the OncoDaily Party have, without a doubt, become cornerstone events. Friday night at ASCO, beneath the lights of Chicago, has turned into a moment we all look forward to a celebration born from a dream, shaped by hard work, and brought to life by our OncoDaily family. A reminder that everything is possible, that challenges shape us, and that the best is yet to come. But none of it would matter without the people, those who support quietly, offer kind words and actions, bring warm smiles, and share in the joy of celebrating others, whether friends or strangers. These are the people who make the world better. And to be surrounded by them that night and every day at ASCO was pure happiness.”

Gevorg Tamamyan, Editor-in-chief of OncoDaily

“Tonight, we’re not just honoring individual achievements—we’re celebrating a community that never stops pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in cancer care. The Yvonne Awards remind us that progress happens not only in the lab or clinic, but in every act of mentorship, advocacy, and courage. It’s a privilege to open this evening among friends, colleagues, and changemakers who inspire us to keep moving forward—together.”
