Vanina Laurent-Ledru: Health at the forefront of the climate conversation for the first time ever

“I am preparing for an action-packed COP28 UAE where health will be at the forefront of the climate conversation for the first time ever. On December 1st, I will be a panelist at a Seed Global Health event at the World Health Organization and Welcome Trust Health Pavilion, where we will be discussing the intersection of climate change and health – and how to scale adaptation measures to address its impacts.

As well as collaborating alongside leaders and key decision makers, most importantly, we will be hearing first-hand from lived experience: those on the frontline of climate change and health efforts, as we move discussions beyond talk into tangible action and look to harness the power of community-based solutions. The event is also available via livestream on the WHO page.
