Wade Swenson: Addressing the rural cancer care crisis in Minnesota requires innovative solutions
Wade Swenson, Program Manager at ACCC and Founder of Rural Cancer Institute, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Addressing the rural cancer care crisis in Minnesota requires innovative solutions.
The Rural Cancer Institute is spearheading a proposed rural oncology rotation to educate medical students, residents, and others about the pressing need for cancer care in rural communities. Backed by a potential $600,000 state funding allocation – aims to train the next generation of oncologists to serve where they’re needed most. “We currently lack capacity to effectively care for our rural patients with cancer.”
Support this transformative initiative to bridge the rural cancer gap and save lives.
