Abhishek Shankar, Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, recently shared on LinkedIn:

“We are thrilled to share that our paper, led by Dr. Ong Sok King and Sarah Krull Abe has been published in The Lancet Regional Health Southeast Asia, outlining crucial recommendations towards an Asian Code Against Cancer (ACAC). This milestone is part of the World Code Against Cancer Framework and is spearheaded by the Asian National Cancer Centers Alliance (ANCCA) initiative in close association with IARC – International Agency for Research on Cancer / World Health Organization. This is the second Lancet publication since July 2023 from this passionate and dedicated group of people from ANCCA.

ACAC is a vital initiative within the global framework, fostering collaboration across Asian nations. The recommendations provided are a result of extensive research and the collective efforts of experts and will be vital in designing cancer prevention plans at the country level.
