AstraZeneca Unveils $300M Cell Therapy Facility in Rockville to Boost CAR-T Cell Therapy Production
AstraZeneca shared a post on LinkedIn:
“News for Investors and Media
Today marks a major milestone in realizing the full potential of cell therapies with the unveiling of our state-of-the-art, cell therapy manufacturing facility in Rockville, MD.
This $300 million investment is part of our $3.5 billion investment in RnD and manufacturing across the US, further strengthening domestic production of CAR-T cell therapies and reflecting our long-term commitment to innovation in the US. The facility will accelerate our ambition by enabling critical cancer and immunology trials and future commercial supply nationwide.
Hosted by Executive Vice President, Global Operations, IT and Chief Sustainability Officer Pam Cheng, we were honored to welcome Maryland Lieutenant Governor Aruna Miller and patient advocate Andrew Gordon, who shared his powerful perspective on the promise of cell therapy.
And a heartfelt thank you to all those who joined us in celebrating this milestone.”
