“Join Thoracic Medical Oncologist Dr. Coral Olazagasti as she discusses how Lung Cancer develops. Cancers in the chest area arise when lung cells grow uncontrollably. When these cells spread to other organs, it’s known as metastasis. Lung cancer is concerning because it’s often detected in later stages, making treatment more challenging.
What many don’t realize is that a history of cancer increases your risk of developing lung cancer significantly — about three times higher than someone without prior cancer. This underscores the importance of regular screenings. Learn more.”
