“En route to DC and looking forward to:
- Catching up with my fav radonc colleagues
- Learning about all of the new and exciting treatment and scientific advances

Student doctor Abigail Kohut-Jackson presenting ASTRO24
“Student doctor Abigail Kohut-Jackson (expertly mentored by Dr. Justin Barnes) presenting ASTRO24 on the association of paid medical leave and cancer survival.
Unsurprisingly, working adults cancer survivors with access to paid medical leave had better overall and cancer mortality.”
Co-chairing a session ASTRO24 with Dr. Bismarck Odei
“It as an absolute joy to co-chair a session ASTRO24 with Dr. Bismarck Odei. He is a truly brilliant mind in radonc and one of my personal favorite people to hang out with. We had a great convo on how to build a life of mission driven research that moves the needle in oncology.”
Dr. Robin Yabroff expertly discusses the health services research
” ‘Cancer care in the United States is expensive, inefficient, and inequitable.
Innovations in cancer detection and care can exacerbate inequities.’
Dr. Robin Yabroff expertly discusses the health services research presented today at ASTRO24 and highlights opportunities to improve care.”
Catching up with student doctor Victoria Wu
“So nice to catch up with student doctor Victoria Wu who presented two posters at ASTRO24 with Shearwood McClelland. I worked with Victoria 2 years ago when she did the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center summer medical student research fellowship. I can’t believe she’s a MS4!”
