Yvonne Awards 2024

The 2024 Yvonne Award program recognized outstanding individuals and organizations across eight categories:

• Breakthrough Research: Vinod Balachandran

• Leadership: Asya Agulnik

• Global Oncology: Haimanot Kasahun Alemu

• Challenging the Status Quo: Pashtoon Kasi and Erica Tsang

• Voice of Oncology: Vivek Subbiah

• Community Oncology: Foluke Sarimiye and Abeid Athman Omar

• Mentorship: Anna Spreafico and Maria Babak

• Humanitarian Award: Aladina Foundation, presented in September 2024

For the 2024 Yvonne Award, candidates were required to be within 10 years of receiving their terminal degree or initial faculty appointment. Both trainees and experienced professionals could be nominated, provided they met the applicable eligibility requirements.

Award recipients were required to attend the ASCO Annual Meeting and the Yvonne Award Ceremony in person on May 31, 2024.

Each nomination included:

• The name and email address of the nominee

• The name and email address of the nominator

• A description of why the nominee should receive the Yvonne Award, limited to 100 words

• One selected nomination category

• The nominee’s most recent curriculum vitae, limited to two pages

The nomination deadline was May 10, 2024.
