Zeda Zhang: Excited to Advance Prostate Cancer Research With the 2026 PCF Award

Zeda Zhang, Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation Fellow at Howard Hughes Medical Institute and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, shared on LinkedIn:

“I’m honored and grateful to receive the 2026 Patrice and Precious Motsepe–Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) Young Investigator Award!

It was a wonderful experience attending the 2026 PCF Annual Scientific Retreat in San Diego, connecting with an inspiring community of scientists and clinicians, and celebrating alongside this year’s Young Investigator Award recipients.

This award will support our efforts to understand how prostate cancer cells adapt to therapeutic stress and develop new vulnerabilities that can be exploited to treat advanced, therapy-resistant disease.

My sincere gratitude to Dr. Patrice Motsepe, Dr. Precious Moloi-Motsepe, the Motsepe family, and the Prostate Cancer Foundation for their extraordinary generosity and commitment to advancing prostate cancer research and supporting the next generation of scientists.

I’m also deeply grateful to my mentors Charles Sawyers, Scott Lowe, and Cory Abate-Shen for their invaluable guidance and support. It was especially meaningful to reconnect with friends and colleagues from the Sawyers lab!

Excited for the science ahead and the opportunity to contribute to this incredible community!”
