“CIPOG 2026 – 4th Edition | Introductory Course on the Principles of Geriatric Oncology
Most new cancer diagnoses occur in people over 65. Yet older patients remain under-represented in clinical trials and are too often subject to decisions based on chronological age alone, risking both under – and overtreatment. Training professionals to look beyond age and assess each person’s actual condition is a clinical, ethical and equity imperative.
That is exactly what CIPOG delivers, edition after edition. Behind this course there is a wonderful group of people, the Geriatric Oncology Working Group of the Portuguese Society of Oncology, who, with dedication and generosity, have been building a true learning community in geriatric oncology in Portugal.
Location: 2–3 October 2026 | Coimbra, Portugal (with a prior online module) Limited places, register now!”
