Zacharoula Sidiropoulou, Senior Consultant Breast Surgical Oncologist at Hospital São Francisco Xavier, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Friends and colleagues, I need your help, and yes, I know I can count on you.
A question that has been bothering me for years: why do some health professionals stay committed to their organization, and others don’t?
The answer has a lot to do with leadership.
A friend of mine, Evangelia Mina, is completing her diploma thesis for her MPH at European University Cyprus, researching just that: how leadership behavior affects how committed we feel to the organization we work for. Something that concerns all of us who work in the field of health.
If you work in a public hospital, health center or other public structure in Greece or Cyprus, your participation really makes a difference. Each answer helps to gain a better picture of the reality in the public health system and this has value far beyond a master’s thesis.
