World Child Cancer shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Following yesterday’s Cancer Survivors Day, we are celebrating six-year-old Rabin’s completion of treatment and transition into survivorship!
Join us to gain a glimpse of what this new chapter looks like for Rabin…
In this short film, we follow Rabin as he travels to school with his mother and studies at home in Nepal. Through these everyday moments, we see what life after cancer looks like and the importance of support that extends beyond treatment.
Our collaboration with Amgen (Sean Lybrand, Philip Anderson) has created an incredible shift in how childhood cancer treatment is funded. Amgen’s commitment to holistic care, and their deep understanding that treatment goes beyond just the medicine has allow us to provide survivorship scholarships.
Rabin is now receiving one of these scholarships, which is supporting him as he reintegrates into school and life after treatment.
For many childhood cancer survivors, returning to the classroom is about more than learning. It’s an opportunity to reconnect with friends, rebuild confidence and regain a sense of routine after months of treatment.
Watch the film to see how this support is helping Rabin move forward.”
