Reflections from the 20th Anniversary and 4th ICPCN International Conference – World Child Cancer

World Child Cancer shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Last week, our team had the privilege of joining the 20th Anniversary and 4th ICPCN International Conference on Children’s Palliative Care: Milestones and Horizons in Manila, Philippines!

A highlight for us was seeing our very own Ayire Adongo, Regional Coordinator for Sub-Saharan Africa at World Child Cancer, present an abstract with Alex Daniels of International Children’s Palliative Care Network on ‘The implementation and evaluation of a programme to build capacity for children’s palliative care in Ghana.’ Their session showcased meaningful progress being made, along with the practical challenges we must continue to address.

We were also delighted to have our colleagues Aida Chateka (Child Life Specialist, Malawi) and Elizabeth Kabuthi (Child Life Specialist, Kenya) participate in the conference.

Our time in Manila offered a valuable opportunity to listen, learn, and exchange ideas with partners working in similar contexts. We’ve returned with practical insights and an even stronger sense of shared purpose.

More reflections from the event to come!”
