Walid Kamoun on Unlocking Productivity and Exploring the Future of AI Coding Assistants

Walid Kamoun, Vice President and Global Head of R&D Oncology at Servier, shared on LinkedIn:

“Every holiday period (summer or during the year-end break), I make it a point to deep dive into something completely new.

Last year, my learning journey was focused on Large Language Models (LLMs). I was fascinated by how quickly they were transforming the way we access information, solve problems, and create value.

This year, I’ve turned my attention to coding assistants from the major technology platforms. After only a demo and about an hour of hands-on exploration, I’m genuinely amazed by what these tools can do. The ability to accelerate learning, support problem-solving, and bridge the gap between ideas and execution is simply remarkable.

A huge thank you to Theo Laine for helping me get access to these amazing tools, to Romuald Rousseau for sharing his expertise and guidance, and to Claude Bertrand for encouraging me to keep expanding my horizons.

And a special thank you in advance to my wife, who will likely spend the rest of the summer hearing about coding assistants, AI workflows, and productivity hacks, possibly even during our beach walks.”
