Ulrika Årehed Kågström Speaking About Momentum 2026, Speakers and the Future of Cancer Research

Ulrika Årehed Kågström, President of Union for International Cancer Control and  Board Member of Nordic Cancer Union, shared on LinkedIn:

“It’s exciting to see the line-up of speakers for Momentum 2026!

With just two weeks to go, we now have an ambitious programme and an impressive group of people joining us from across Europe and beyond.

At the heart of Momentum, a new European high-level conference convened by the Swedish Cancer Society, is one central question:

How can we accelerate the translation of cancer research into meaningful benefits for patients, while strengthening Europe’s position in cancer research and life sciences?

I’m very much looking forward to the perspectives and expertise our speakers will bring: Joanna Drake, Cary Adams, Elisabete Weiderpass, Antonella Cardone, Michael Baumann, Niklas Blomberg, Marianne Pilgaard, Greg Simon, Jens K. Habermann, Niklas Hedberg, Mihaela van der Schaar, Wolfgang Fecke, Isabel Rubio, Jessica Polfjärd, Ingrid Stenstadvold Ross, Richard Rosenquist Brandell, Marta Puyol, Gauthier Bouche, Johan Christenson, Fabio D’Atri, Patrik Rossi, Malin Sund, Karolina Werynska, Irene Norstedt, Monika Frenzel, Sara Lowemark, Giacomo Capone, Thomas Dubois, Ebba Hallersjö Hult , Alexander Roediger, Ingrid Glimelius, Birgitta Ohlsson Klamberg and Malin Eklund.

Momentum is about much more than who is on stage.

Through roundtables, working sessions and cross-sector dialogue, everyone joining us will have a role in identifying concrete ways forward.”
