“Breast Care International – Ghana (BCI), a UICC member, hosted its annual ‘Walk for the Cure’, Ghana’s largest breast cancer awareness campaign, on Saturday 4 October, in Kumasi-Ashanti, Ghana.
This year’s walk attracted an international audience, with people from Morocco, the Netherlands, US, Yemen, and France, joining in solidarity to raise awareness and inspire action against breast cancer.
Speakers highlighted the urgent need for policymakers, civil society, faith groups, and charities to recognise the growing impact of breast cancer on the country’s social and economic development.
