Tsetsegsaikhan Batmunkh, Director of the Public Health Department at the Ministry of Health of Mongolia, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“As Chair of the Local Organizing Committee for the 18th SIOP Asia Congress 2026, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who made this congress such an extraordinary success.
Welcoming more than 300 participants from 55 countries to Mongolia was both an honor and a proud milestone for our team. Thank you for believing in us, supporting us, and making the journey to be part of this remarkable gathering.
Over four inspiring days, we shared knowledge, strengthened partnerships, and reaffirmed our collective commitment to improving outcomes for children with cancer across Asia and beyond.

Together, we delivered:
- 60 scientific and educational sessions.
- 243 presentations.
- 145 distinguished speakers.
- A dedicated Global Oncology – Everyone Has a Voice session, highlighting the importance of equity, inclusion, and collaboration.
- Joint sessions with the World Health Organization (WHO), St. Jude, Childhood Cancer International (CCI), APHOG, ESHDOG, and RSPOH, demonstrating the power of international partnerships in advancing pediatric oncology.
This congress was made possible by the dedication of our international and local organizing committees, scientific committee, speakers, moderators, volunteers, sponsors, partners, and every participant who contributed their expertise and enthusiasm.
Hosting SIOP Asia 2026 in Mongolia was more than organizing a congress – it was an opportunity to showcase what can be achieved when the global childhood cancer community comes together with a shared purpose.
Thank you all for making SIOP Asia 2026 a memorable milestone. I look forward to continuing our collaboration as we work toward a future where every child with cancer, everywhere, has access to the care they deserve.”
