Sylvie Lambert, Associate Professor and Associate Director Research at Ingram School of Nursing, McGill University, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Exciting News!
In conversations about implementing patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs), we often focus on the barriers clinicians face. But through our PROMs implementation work across Quebec, we’ve heard directly from over 300 patients about their own experiences and challenges.
In response, with patients, we’ve developed a new public Power of PROMs toolkit, in collaboration with the Unité de soutien SSA Québec, to help patients use PROMs in a way that optimizes their cancer care.
Why this matters:
- PROMs let patients share how they’re really doing – physically, emotionally, and in daily life – so clinicians can focus care on what matters most.
- This toolkit makes PROMs more accessible by explaining what they are, how to use them, and why they’re important.
- It also supports our broader research vision: strengthening self-management, and advancing inclusive, percon-centred care.
Grateful to our team and all partners who made this possible.”
