Sung-Min Hwang, Assistant Professor at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Although about a year and a half has passed, I would like to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation to the authors (Shiwei Duan , yongming Xia groups) who provided insightful and constructive commentary on the work I conducted during my postdoctoral training with my mentor, Dr. Juan Cubillos-Ruiz.
Their perspectives were both generous and scientifically rigorous. I especially value the limitations they highlighted – many of which I strongly agree represent critical areas requiring deeper mechanistic investigation and conceptual expansion.
At the HWANG LAB,
we are now actively pursuing new research projects aimed at addressing and overcoming these very challenges. We view this process not as criticism, but as meaningful scientific dialogue that sharpens ideas, strengthens discoveries, and ultimately advances the field.
Grateful for the engagement – and excited to build on the science.”
