Sumaiya Khan, MD physician, Ambassador of Armenia at Global Neurosurgical Students Council, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Breast cancer is not just a statistic—it’s a reality that touches countless lives every day. The good news? Early detection saves lives.
I cannot emphasize enough the importance of:
- Regular self-examinations
- Clinical breast check-ups
- Timely screening mammograms
This month, let’s go beyond wearing pink. Let’s start conversations, encourage our loved ones to get screened, and stand in solidarity with the fighters, survivors, and the families who have lost someone to this disease.
- Awareness leads to action.
- Action leads to early detection.
- Early detection saves lives.
Let’s use this Pink October to remind each other that health is a gift—and protecting it starts with awareness.”
