SPCC Begins the Next Phase of Its MRD Education Initiative in Multiple Myeloma

SPCC (Sharing Progress in Cancer Care) shared a post on LinkedIn:

“As we prepare to enter the next phase of our Minimal Residual Disease (MRD) educational project, now is the perfect time to catch up on the foundational discussions that brought us here.

Our first two project webinars are available completely on-demand, offering deep insights into the evolving landscape of MRD testing in Multiple Myeloma.

On 2 July 2026, SPCC will convene a closed virtual Task Force bringing together a distinguished panel of international experts, led by our Moderator Dr Matti Aapro and an exceptional Advisory and Leadership Team including Sikander Ailawadhi, Carl Ola Landgren, Bruno Paiva, and Jesús San-Miguel.

The Task Force will tackle critical challenges in the field, moving from whether MRD is ready for routine decision-making to closing the gap between guidelines and daily real-world practice.

The experts will also address how to make laboratory results truly actionable for clinicians and explore the future of blood-based monitoring and adaptive trials.

All the key outcomes, practical highlights, and considerations emerging from this high-level meeting will be consolidated into an upcoming white paper, designed to provide a balanced, practice-oriented overview of current evidence.

This activity is supported by: an independent grant from Cloud Pathology Group and by an unrestricted medical contribution from Sanofi (Phase 1); by an unrestricted medical contribution from Sanofi, with procedures ongoing for the finalisation of further independent support from a second company (Phase 2).”
