“Honored to host International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Deputy Director-General Dr Najat Mokhtar and team at NCCS today. We were joined by colleagues from National Environment Agency.
IAEA is the world’s central intergovernmental forum for scientific and technical cooperation in the nuclear field. National Cancer Centre Singapore and Singapore General Hospital have been partnering IAEA since 1998, conducting over 20 regional training workshops and meetings in Singapore, as well as contributing and participating in close to 80 IAEA projects.
Took the delegation on a tour of the Goh Cheng Liang Proton Therapy Centre and we discussed opportunities for our teams to do even more to support and coordinate research, development and training projects in nuclear science and technology.
We are particularly keen to collaborate with IAEA to serve the larger community and improve access to quality radiation treatment in the region.”
