Soma Sengupta, Chair and Neurologist-in-Chief at Tufts Medicine, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Grateful to Total Health | Oncology for the experience of Review and Renew in Sedona.
Between the science, the conversations, and the stillness of the landscape, I found myself reflecting less on treatments—and more on the lived journey of patients and their families.
There is still so much unknown in patient care.
So much that doesn’t fit neatly into protocols or pathways.
And that’s where the real work lies.
Creating a truly holistic journey—one that integrates evidence, empathy, environment, and meaning—is not optional. It’s essential.
Patients don’t just move through therapies.
They move through uncertainty, hope, identity, and change.
Our role is not only to treat cancer, but to help guide that journey with intention. The new therapies for oncology made me reflect that there has to be a better way in healthcare— one that aligns access, affordability, accountability and dignity with the science we work so hard to advance.
Because healing should not come at the cost of financial harm.”
