Sinn Féin Party Leader, Deputy
Mary Lou McDonald took time out from her hectic schedule yesterday to meet with us and talk about the National Tell Me My Breast Density Campaign at Leinster House.
Deputy McDonald confirmed that her party is fully behind implementation of policy in relation to ALL Women having access to this clinically relevant information along with their Mammogram Results, sooner than later.
We discussed, what Dense Breasts mean for Women, why knowing your Breast Density matters and understanding the associated risk and implications in relation to Breast cancer Screening.
We’re grateful to Deputy McDonald for opening the Breast Density Briefing Session held in Leinster House.
Every woman is entitled to information about her own Body. Breast Density is a highly visible radiological finding. It is seen and can be assessed, almost at a glance by the Radiologist who reads your Mammogram.
Ladies, the Radiologist knows if you have Dense or Non Dense Breast Tissue. Don’t you want to know too …
Tell Me My Breast Density BEFORE you Tell Me I Have Breast Cancer.”
