Sean Lybrand Spotlights World Child Cancer’s ‘You’re Not Alone’ Initiative

Sean Lybrand, Executive Director, Access to Healthcare at Amgen, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Who cares for the carers? A reflection on World Child Cancer’s ‘You’re Not Alone’ podcast series.

It has been a busy year so far and I’ve missed posting about a few of the programs or engagements that we’re proud to support.

Today I was reflecting on the importance of psychosocial support for healthcare professionals involved in managing the journey of children with cancer, and wanted to highlight the great work being done by World Child Cancer in their programs – but especially their recently-launched podcast series ‘You’re Not Alone’. Our team at Amgen is very pleased to support.

Created in collaboration with the International Society of Paediatric Oncology – SIOP Sub-Saharan Africa Nursing Network, this podcast series provides expert-led emotional wellbeing support for professionals working in paediatric oncology. Each episode features conversations with psychologists, senior paediatric oncology nurses and cancer survivors sharing insights from the frontline of care. From recognising burnout and managing grief to building resilience, it’s a safe space to listen, reflect, and recharge.

Spotify link is below for the podcast series. If you’re a professional supporting children in their cancer journey – please take some time and tune in.”
