Saro Armenian, Director of the Division of Outcomes Research, Director of the Center for Survivorship and Outcomes, Hematologic Malignancies Institute, and Barron Hilton Chair and Professor of Pediatrics, Department of Pediatrics at City of Hope, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“On Doctor’s Day, I had the privilege of celebrating an extraordinary group of physicians and colleagues at City of Hope.
In a ballroom full of stars, I am proud to say that our Children’s Cancer Center shined most brightly. Moments like this remind me how fortunate we are to have such talent, dedication, and compassion within our Pediatrics community-and how much there is to look forward to as we continue to grow and lead together.
Please join me in congratulating our outstanding Pediatrics faculty who were recognized:
- Nursing Physician Award – Dr. Sonal Khemani
Recognized by our nursing colleagues for exceptional collaboration and dedication to excellence in patient care and education.
- Team Award (Gene Therapy Program) – Drs. Leo Wang, YunZu Michele Wang, and colleagues
Honored for exemplifying groundbreaking clinical care and research, along with enterprise-wide coordination that has been truly transformational.
- Rising Star Award – Dr. Lior Goldberg
Recognized as an early-career scientist who demonstrates exceptional research productivity and tremendous promise for the future.
- Hope Colleague Award – Dr. Lindsey Murphy
Nominated by physician peers for excellence in the workplace and for embodying the spirit of City of Hope in all that she does.
These recognitions reflect not only individual excellence, but also the strength of an entire community-faculty, nurses, APPs, research and clinical staff, and administrative partners-working together every day to improve the lives of our patients and their families.
