Saro Armenian, Barron Hilton Chair and Professor of Pediatrics at City of Hope, shared a post on LinkedIn by City of Hope, adding:

“Marisol is truly a superstar at the City of Hope Children’s Cancer Center!

She brings creativity, compassion, and expertise to every interaction, helping young patients and their families navigate the challenges of cancer treatment with strength and hope.

Her dedication and enthusiasm enrich our clinical practice or, and we are deeply grateful for her unwavering commitment to excellence.”

Quoting City of Hope‘s post:

“For 15 years, Marisol Trujillo, M.S., CCLS, has been a source of comfort and strength for patients and families at City of Hope. Starting as an intern, she followed her passion for working with children and teens into a career as a Certified Child Life Specialist.

‘The most rewarding part of my job is being able to support patients and families throughout their treatment. When a parent tells me their child was able to get through a challenging or potentially scary situation because of my support, it reinforces why I do what I do.’

Marisol shares.

In addition to her work with patients, Marisol serves as co-chair of El Concilio, City of Hope’s Spanish-speaking Patient and Family Advisory Council, helping to improve the care and experience of Spanish-speaking patients and families.

Marisol says she’s fortunate to work with ‘the best Child Life team anyone could ask for’ – a small but mighty group that always shows up for one another and the families they serve.

Thank you, Marisol, for her dedication, compassion and leadership, and for showing what it means to put patients and families first.”
