Quoting City of Hope‘s post:

Lindsey Murphy, M.D., M.S., assistant professor at City of Hope Children’s Cancer Center, specializes in treating relapsed and refractory leukemias.

Her passion for pediatric and adolescent and young adult (AYA) oncology was sparked as a medical student, where she witnessed the resilience of young patients and their families facing the unimaginable challenges of a cancer diagnosis. Today, she is dedicated to helping this age group navigate unique hurdles, from care transitions to school, employment and fertility.

Dr. Murphy shares this advice with those considering pediatric oncology:

“Stay curious and compassionate. Be ready for the tough moments, but also embrace the victories, no matter how small. Never lose sight of why you’re doing this: to make a real difference in the lives of children and their families.”

Thank you, Dr. Murphy, for your compassion, innovation and commitment to advancing care for pediatric and AYA patients at City of Hope.”
