Rui Amaral Mendes, Professor of the Department of Community Medicine, Information and Health Decision Sciences at Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“This weekend I had the pleasure of giving one of the invited opening lectures at the 3rd Global Oral Cancer Forum, held at Kaohsiung Medical University, on the topic: “Navigating AI in OPMD Diagnosis and Trajectories to Malignancy.”
After two previous successful meetings held in New York and Kuala Lumpur, the third edition, co-chaired by three renowned, long-time colleagues – Saman Warnakulasuriya from King’s College London, A. Ross Kerr from New York University, and WM Tilakaratne from the University of Malaya – was brilliantly organised by my distinguished colleagues Yi-Hsin Yang (Connie Yang), from the National Institute of Cancer Research, National Health Research Institutes, Taiwan, and Li-Tzong Chen, from the Center for Cancer Research, Kaohsiung Medical University.
The meeting brought together a multidisciplinary group of oral cancer researchers – pathologists, geneticists, oral and head and neck surgeons, and oral medicine specialists – for an insightful and groundbreaking discussion of the most recent developments in prevention and screening, diagnosis, and treatment of Oral Cancer.
On this note, I couldn’t be happier to announce and welcome the 4th Global Oral Cancer Forum (GOCF), which will be hosted by the Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade do Porto.
Save the date: 26-28 May 2028. Porto awaits you.”
