“Art Therapy – A Beautiful Journey Beyond Treatment
Today was a truly special and memorable day at Medanta Hospital.
It was an honor and privilege to meet Dr. Ashok K Vaid , Chairman, Medanta Hospital (Gurgaon) Oncology Department, who took the time to be with the cancer patients, survivors and caregivers and motivate everyone with his encouraging words.
Meeting such a senior and respected oncology leader was truly inspiring and made the experience even more meaningful.
I also had the wonderful opportunity to attend an Art Therapy session conducted by the amazing Ms. Juhi Mukerjee.
Thank you so much, Juhi ji, for inviting me and making me a part of this commendable work. It was truly a beautiful and enriching experience.
While participating in the session, I realised how important such therapies are for cancer patients, survivors and caregivers.
Cancer treatment can be physically and emotionally challenging, and sometimes we need something that simply helps us pause, breathe, express and refresh our minds.
I honestly wish I had known about Art Therapy when I was going through my own cancer treatment. I would have loved to experience this beautiful way of taking a break from the stress and emotions of treatment.
I would request everyone who knows a cancer patient or caregiver to encourage them to experience such sessions.
Sometimes, just a little time spent creating, expressing and being surrounded by positivity can take you to a completely different place mentally.
A beautiful day filled with art, smiles, meaningful conversations, hope and healing.
