“A very special inaugural lecture today by my colleague and friend, Professor Li Ping Wong.
Li Ping has always had my back…. quite simply, she’s someone who has never said no whenever I needed her help. More importantly, she was the person who taught me the value of qualitative research. Our collaborations almost a decade ago shaped the way I began to think about patients’ experiences, needs and voices. Much of my work in patient-centered cancer care today has its roots in the knowledge we generated together.
Her lecture today was wholesome, thoughtful and incredibly inspiring. The tribute to her parents was especially lovely.
So wonderful to see her scholarship and contributions celebrated today. Congratulations, Li Ping, this is very well deserved!”
