“Still Here, Still Becoming
What happens when you bring a room full of women together to share stories, reflect on life’s lessons, and celebrate sisterhood? Apparently, lots of laughter, a few unexpected revelations, and some rather enthusiastic breast-awareness demonstrations!
I had such a good time at the Book Club Brunch hosted by Rachel, where Stuff I’d Tell My Sister became the starting point for conversations that were funny, thoughtful, candid and deeply affirming.

The day featured a theatrical interpretation of scenes from the book, bringing the stories to life in a completely different way.
There were reflections on lessons learnt the hard way, powerful conversations with women sharing their lived experiences, and moments that reminded us how much we can learn from one another. And, of course, there were giggles.
One of my favourite moments came during the breast awareness demonstration. What began as a practical exercise quickly became the highlight of the afternoon, with Rachel raising her hands above her head on cue and our breast model making a rather memorable appearance!

But beneath all the laughter was something meaningful: women feeling comfortable enough to ask questions, share experiences and learn from one another.
Perhaps that’s what I loved most. Seeing the stories in the book become part of other women’s conversations, and hearing how they connected with their own lives.
A special thank you to Rachel and her team for creating such a warm space. To my fellow panellists and the women who so generously shared their personal journeys, and to Aga Khan University’s Centre for Innovation in Medical Education – CIME for their breast model that brought our discussion to life.

And to all the women who came, shared, laughed and made the day what it was, thank you. Here’s to more stories, more conversations, more laughter and, above all, more sisterhood.”
