Michael Sapienza: Project Cure CRC and the Future of Colorectal Cancer Care

Michael Sapienza, Chief Executive Officer of the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Medical meetings are where the future of science takes shape. They bring together top experts to share data, challenge assumptions, and push the science forward.

Our team members Dionne Smith Christopher, PMP, Director of Prevention Colorectal Cancer Alliance, and two of our dedicated allies Dawn Schneider and Lena Herrero recently attended Digestive Disease Week, while Marianne Pearson, MSW, LCSW Pearson, VP of Cancer Care and Sara Hoten, LGSW Hoten attended the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons conference.

They shared patient perspectives and information about the Alliance’s efforts to drive progress in the colorectal cancer space.

We are seeing important advances in detection, biomarkers, and treatment. Yet colorectal cancer continues to rise in younger adults, and too many patients are still diagnosed late or without access to the full range of options available to them.

The Alliance is working to close that gap through Project Cure CRC, accelerating innovation and alignment across research, clinical care, and patient access to bring cures to patients faster.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to connect – your passion and dedication remind us why this work matters. We left the meetings feeling energized and more committed than ever to our mission.
