“Throwback to 2024 — when we marked a decade of impact with WalkAway Cancer 10!
From 2014 to 2024, we walked, we advocated, we screened, and we supported patients. And on November 2nd, 2024, Abuja came alive as we celebrated 10 years of WalkAway Cancer in grand style.
We kicked off from Monoliza Park, Area 11, CBD Abuja, where thousands gathered to walk 5KM, one voice, one mission with incredible performances, fun, and solidarity as top personalities, partners, and communities came together for cancer awareness.
And most importantly, proceeds from walk kits and activities went towards supporting cancer patients’ treatment, reminding us all why we walk.
Over the past decade, WalkAway Cancer has grown from a local walk to a movement with global community interest, especially as our CEO became the UICC President-Elect. Together, we’ve shown that awareness, advocacy, screening, and patient support save lives.
2024 was proof of how far we’ve come—and why we must keep going.
This October, on the 25th, we mark 11 years of walking for:
- Awareness
- Advocacy
- Screening
- Patient Support
It’s almost time again! Let’s lace up, show up, and put our hearts into WalkAway Cancer 2025.
One Walk. One Fight. One Mission.”
