“ASCO partners with AI company Ryght AI to accelerate breast cancer clinical trials.
ASCO has partnered with Ryght AI for the Dosing Knowledge Study, a PCORI-funded trial evaluating the optimal starting dose of CDK4/6 inhibitors in older adults with HR+/HER2− metastatic breast cancer.
Why this study matters:
Older adults make up the majority of patients with metastatic HR+ breast cancer, yet they remain underrepresented in the clinical trials that established the standard starting doses of CDK4/6 inhibitors. As a result, many patients require dose reductions early in treatment, but we have limited prospective data to guide the best starting dose while maintaining efficacy.
Ryght AI uses artificial intelligence to identify clinical trial sites with the right investigators, infrastructure, and patient populations – helping activate studies and enroll patients faster.
This is an exciting example of AI expanding beyond imaging and documentation into clinical trial operations, where better site selection could help answer clinically meaningful questions more efficiently.
As our patient population continues to age, generating high-quality evidence specifically for older adults is long overdue.”
