Mark Scott: $13.1M Commitment from the Minderoo Foundation Toward a Future Without Cervical Cancer

Mark Scott, Vice Chancellor and President at University of Sydney, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“We are one step closer to a future without cervical cancer, thanks to a new $13.1 million commitment from the Minderoo Foundation to expand the Elimination Partnership in the Indo-Pacific for Cervical Cancer (EPICC): an initiative led by The Cancer Elimination Collaboration (CEC), Sydney School of Public Health, University of Sydney with partners, to accelerate efforts to eliminate cervical cancer.

As a cornerstone funder of EPICC, Minderoo’s latest investment, alongside support from the Australian Government, will help support locally-led, sustainable vaccination, HPV screening and treatment programs to address what is still a leading cause of death among women in the region.

It’s a powerful reminder of the importance of collaboration in tackling modern-day challenges.”
