European Cancer Organisation (ECO) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Thousands of women in Europe die from cervical cancer each year, even though there’s a widely available vaccine to prevent the disease: the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine.
Even more frustrating, less than 10% of women in some countries are screened for the virus – leaving far too many women without access to life-saving prevention.
This January, Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, we’re highlighting the facts, the inequalities, and the solutions that can help Europe rid this disease once and for all.
Our latest report shows how countries can strengthen HPV testing so that every woman can be protected.
