“Happy to share that our work has been published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology as part of the ASCO2026 Annual Meeting abstracts.
This large real-world meta-analysis included 31,580 patients with HR+/HER2− metastatic breast cancer treated with palbociclib, ribociclib, or abemaciclib.
Key findings
- Objective response rate was highest with ribociclib across the reported ethnic groups.
- Median progression-free survival varied by ethnicity and CDK4/6 inhibitor: 25.2 months for Asian patients on ribociclib, 27.7 months for White patients on palbociclib, and 17.0 months for Black patients on abemaciclib.
- Asian cohorts had the highest rates of grade 3+ neutropenia across all three CDK4/6 inhibitors.
- Asian patients also showed the highest rates of leukopenia and anemia across CDK4/6 inhibitors.
These findings support the need for prospective trials focused on underrepresented populations in HR+/HER2− metastatic breast cancer.
Grateful to Dr. Aruni Ghose for his guidance and support, and to all co-authors for their valuable contributions.”
