“As part of the ongoing collaboration and Summer Volunteer Cardiac Service, Professor Jang Whan Bae of Korea’s Good Samsun Hospital, together with SPHMMC interventional cardiologists and the Cath Lab team, successfully performed 10 percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) for chronic total occlusion (CTO) over the past two days.
These highly specialised procedures restore blood flow in completely blocked coronary arteries, offering renewed hope and improved quality of life for patients with complex coronary artery disease.
This achievement reflects the strength of international collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the unwavering commitment of our multidisciplinary cardiac team to advancing cardiovascular care in Ethiopia.
