Kevin Harrington, Professor in Biological Cancer Therapies at Institute of Cancer Research, shared on LinkedIn:
“Today, The Institute of Cancer Research Cancer/Royal Marsden Cancer Research UK RadNet Centre of Excellence team had the pleasure of hosting the Centre Directors’ and Project Managers’ meeting.
We had representation from all 7 Centres of Excellence (Birmingham, Cambridge, City of London, Glasgow, ICR/RM, Leeds, Manchester) at a superb meeting that showcased many of the projects that we are actively pursuing across the network. In particular, we highlighted research outputs of early career researchers from each of the Centres and then went on to hear from the Directors about research vision and collaborative opportunities.
We also had an opportunity to thank each of the Project Managers who do such an amazing job in co-ordinating our activities. It was incredibly heartening to see the full range of ground-breaking work that is being supported by CRUK.

This research spans the continuum from fundamental discovery science, through translational studies to practice-changing clinical trials across a wide variety of treatment indications.
We left the meeting full of enthusiasm for the tasks ahead and imbued with a strong sense of our shared goals and the desire to build on our successes in future research collaborations.”
