“Blood in the urine is not normal.
Around 140,000 women are diagnosed with bladder cancer each year, yet women are more likely than men to be misdiagnosed with another condition before bladder cancer is identified.
This delay can matter. If blood appears in the urine, even occasionally, asking for further investigation is important.
