Kenyan Network of Cancer Organizations shared a post on LinkedIn:
“KENCO, led by the Board Chairperson Philip Odiyo, and the AFRON Oncologia per l’Africa ETS team, led by their President Titti Andriani, convened a strategic meeting to discuss the ongoing implementation of the MWANGA Project. The meeting brought together KENCO member organizations awarded sub-grants under the project to share progress and strengthen collaboration.
During the session, the sub-grantee organizations presented updates on their respective initiatives designed to advance early detection by promoting proactive health-seeking behaviors, including routine screening. The project’s focus is on strengthening community awareness on cancer, increasing uptake of early screening services, fostering informed decision-making, and supporting timely diagnosis.
The meeting provided a platform for constructive dialogue and alignment on shared priorities, reaffirming the collective commitment to delivering sustainable, community-driven cancer prevention outcomes through the MWANGA Project.
In a similar engagement, the AFRON team also visited Symbol Of Hope Warriors, one of the MWANGA Project sub-grantees based in the Kariobangi area of Nairobi, to engage with the team and gain deeper insight into their community-level interventions.”
