“Rethinking the breast localisation pathway: is one step better than two?
Delighted to share our latest narrative review in ‘Translational Breast Cancer Research’ impact factor (3.9), examining OneMark – a new wire-free localisation technology that proposes something genuinely different from SAVI SCOUT, Magseed, RSL and RFID tags.
Rather than improving detection depth or signal strength, OneMark challenges the ‘structure’ of the pathway itself. Its hydrogel-and-metallic-clip marker is placed at the time of diagnostic biopsy, combining diagnostic marking and future intraoperative localisation into one step – detected later via a handheld Doppler probe with visual and audible feedback.
This is a genuinely interesting pathway innovation – but one that needs independent validation before routine adoption. Full appraisal, including a cost-effectiveness model and comparison table against established platforms, linked below.”
