“Our book chapter ‘Challenges and Ethical Considerations in Artificial Intelligence-Driven Brain Cancer Care‘ lead by Demetra Demetriou and Professor Dlamini examines how AI is transforming brain cancer care through improved diagnosis, classification, prognosis, and treatment planning by integrating imaging, genomic, and histological data. AI also has the potential to accelerate molecular diagnoses while reducing the need for invasive procedures.
At the same time, important challenges remain — including data privacy, bias, regulation, accessibility, and equity.
Our chapter explores how we can ensure AI-driven brain cancer care is not only innovative, but also ethical, inclusive, and globally relevant.”
