“Leaving SIOP2026 and heading to the airport this evening, my Uber driver Deondre told me he is an osteosarcoma survivor. He was 23 when diagnosed, and it’s been 10 years since his diagnosis. He’s living well with a prosthetic leg, running and playing basketball, and works in the biomedical field.
A reminder of why we do this. I wish you continuing good health, Deondre!”
