“This past weekend, we welcomed this year’s Summer Scholars to the University of Miami.
This year, we mark a milestone with our largest Summer Scholars cohort ever, bringing together 750 rising 10th- and 11th-grade students from 23 countries. Over the next three weeks, these students will experience university life, engage with our faculty, and explore new academic interests while living and learning on our campus.
At the U, we work hard to create opportunities for students to discover new interests, to challenge themselves, and to begin imagining what their future might look like. Programs like Summer Scholars do exactly that by providing an early glimpse into the possibilities that higher education can offer. I hope that all of our Summer Scholars a rewarding, memorable, and inspiring summer!
And to the families who entrusted us with care for your students over the next several: thank you. We take this responsibility seriously.”
