“Thoughts of an oncologist on…
ESMO 2026 | Madrid
Great science. Inspiring conversations. An extraordinary global oncology community.
Beyond the exciting data and scientific advances, what makes ESMO special is the opportunity to reconnect with friends, exchange ideas, challenge perspectives and brainstorm new possibilities, all against the beautiful backdrop of Madrid.
From reconnecting with colleagues across the UK and Europe to conversations bridging Asia and the US, this has been a wonderful reminder:
‘Science knows no borders, and progress thrives through collaboration.’
The conversations continued well beyond the conference halls, through a number of networking and social events, including the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) gathering. These informal exchanges are just as valuable in building relationships, strengthening international partnerships and turning shared ideas into opportunities for collaboration.
Two passports, connections across continents, 5 posters, and one shared ambition: improving cancer care through science, innovation and partnership.
Global collaboration in action.
Until next time!”
