Ioana Stoenescu: Honored to Have Joined the Board of Directors of AFPM

Ioana Stoenescu, Head of External Affairs, Market Access and Reputation at Roche, shared a post by AFPM – Asociația Furnizorilor de Produse Medicale, adding:

“I am honored to share that I have joined the Board of Directors of AFPM – Asociația Furnizorilor de Produse Medicale and am grateful for the confidence placed in me to contribute to this mandate. I will be carrying out this mandate in close collaboration with my colleague Ioan-Valentin Dobre, in support of AFPM’s mission and priorities. AFPM represents a community of more than 38 member companies active across the medical technology, devices, and diagnostics landscape in Romania, collectively covering a significant share of the market and bringing diverse industry perspectives to the table.

At Roche, we work across medical technologies, diagnostics, and pharmaceuticals, reflecting an integrated approach to healthcare that aligns with our broader strategic ambition to prevent, stop and cure disease. This reinforces the importance of not only advancing breakthrough innovations, but also supporting a coherent framework that recognises and rewards value across the entire continuum of care — from early detection and diagnosis to effective treatment and long‑term health system sustainability.

Within this context, medical technology plays a particularly important role in enabling earlier diagnosis, better clinical decision-making, and more efficient use of healthcare resources. However, innovation can only deliver its full potential when its value is clearly evidenced, appropriately recognised, and responsibly integrated into healthcare policies and funding models.

I look forward to working alongside my fellow Board members Ramona Stefan, Lavinia Bughiu, Paul Radu, Aida Petrescu, Marian Sandu, Lucian Iulian Beznea, Giorgiana Oanea (Cojocaru) and AFPM members to support a balanced, transparent, and forward-looking healthcare environment, fully aligned with ethical standards and shared responsibility.

Thank you to AFPM for the trust — I look forward to contributing to this collective effort!”
